Place your
recycling in you green bin and put it at the kerbside by 7.30am on your
recycling day.
If you want the recycling truck to pick up your recyclables you must
use the green bin.
For safety reasons, all glass
must be placed in your bin. If glass is in a cardboard box or
plastic bag it will not be collected.
If you have more recyclables that
will fit in the bin, then tie newspaper and card into a bundle and place
underneath or on top of your bin.
Kerbside recycling collection is not
a complete refuse management system. It caters for the majority of
household recyclables produced in a week. However it cannot cope
with;
Cardboard
packing boxes after moving house
Large
quantities of bottles and cans following a party.
Commercial
volumes; e.g. a restaurant or pub putting out empty bottles or a
retailer putting out large volumes of cardboard.
